Another luxury apartment building has hit the market in Jersey City, bringing an additional 200 units to the downtown as it prepares to open its doors in the weeks ahead.
The developer, Strategic Capital, said preleasing is underway at its One Grove project at 215 Grove St. It now hopes to lure renters with a location that is within walking distance of the Hudson River and from PATH and ferry service to Manhattan, plus the property’s upscale amenities.
“We are thrilled to introduce One Grove to the Jersey City community and welcome our first residents in the coming weeks,” said David Brown, deputy managing director for Strategic Capital.

Located at the south end of the city’s vibrant Grove Street corridor, One Grove includes floorplans ranging from studios to three bedrooms, all with high-end finishes and appliances, Strategic said. Roughly 30 percent of the apartments have private outdoor space, while the building has a small wing of furnished short-term rental apartments.
Amenities at the MHS Architecture-designed property include a landscaped rooftop terrace, a resident lounge and a demonstration kitchen, according to a news release. Residents will also have access to a fitness center, coworking space, a parking garage and communal transportation.
The developer added that it designed One Grove to meet strict indoor air quality, energy and other performance standards under the U.S. Green Building Council’s Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design scale and EnergyStar programs, with certifications pending. Renters, meantime, are minutes from the Newark Avenue Pedestrian Plaza, which has Jersey City’s restaurant row, as well as Morris Square Park, the waterfront esplanade, marina and the sprawling Liberty State Park.
