Inserra Supermarkets has opened a new 6,500-square-foot liquor store in Hillsdale, marking the expansion of a service that was previously housed inside the ShopRite across the street.
The standalone ShopRite Wines and Spirits at 371 Broadway features a vastly expanded selection and a dedicated parking lot, Inserra said in a news release. Additionally, the new shop is the first piece of a planned renovation to the ShopRite that’s expected to start next year.
“We are very excited to bring this new store to the community of Hillsdale and the surrounding areas,” Carl Inserra Jr., director of wines and spirits at Inserra Supermarkets, said in a prepared statement. “We strive to offer the communities we serve a pleasant and enjoyable shopping experience with a focus on outstanding customer service, as well as a variety of products for every taste and preference all at an affordable price.
“This new facility allows us to offer our loyal customers a greater variety of craft beer, specialty wines and spirits, as well as local and organic options.”
Inserra added the new shop allows the operator to find savings by allowing it to buy its products in bulk. In the coming months, the store will host events, including tastings, raffles and giveaways.
“At Inserra Supermarkets, we are always focused on further enhancing the shopping experience for our customers,” said Lindsey Inserra, vice president of marketing and corporate retail health and wellness of Inserra Supermarkets. “Building this standalone liquor store is one of our first steps in bringing our Hillsdale store to where we want it to be.”
