NIA National Realty has tapped longtime industry executive Joseph Langan as a director with its Paramus-based team.
Langan, who will be involved in all phases of the firm’s real estate brokerage services, comes to the role with more than 30 years of engineering, construction management, real estate development, brokerage and asset and property management experience, according to a news release. NIA noted that, during his 30-year career, he has copromoted and codeveloped more than $75 million worth of commercial real estate projects.
His arrival comes as part of the firm’s continued expansion in retail and industrial brokerage.
“My first priority is to strengthen and grow the existing sales and investment team as NIA expands its footprint throughout New Jersey,” Langan said.
NIA noted that he is a former principal and president of River Drive Construction Co., where he worked for 28 years. He successfully built and managed construction projects valued at more than $250 million across property types such as commercial office, health care, science and technology, multifamily and mixed-use.
Langan’s most notable career projects include River Drive Centers 1 and 3 and Riverfront Center and Riverwalk in Elmwood Park, a mixed-use office, retail and multifamily project valued at more than $100 million, according to a news release. He also managed renovations for Kaplen JCC on the Palisades in Tenafly, Yeshivat Noam in Paramus, Daiichi Sankyo, Celgene, Verizon, Mack-Cali Realty Corp. and CBRE.
“We’ve added a growth-driven senior executive, Joseph Langan, who we believe will help us maintain our position as a sought-after commercial real estate firm serving multiple sectors,” said Roger Gross, NIA National Realty’s president. “Joseph will not only help expand our market share, but his arrival further signals to the industry that we are looking to bring in top talent.”
Langan holds a bachelor’s in civil engineering from Villanova University and a master’s in real estate development and investment from New York University. The Bergen County resident is also a board member of the Greater Paterson Chamber of Commerce.
