Premier Design + Build Group has promoted two construction professionals in its New Jersey-based regional office.
The firm announced Tuesday it has elevated Karl Hoermann to senior vice president, director of construction. He previously served as a vice president of field operations and has been involved in managing construction work in the tristate area for more than 35 years.
Prior to joining Premier in 2015, Hoermann served as executive vice president at a major New Jersey-based general contractor, where he oversaw everything from small fit-outs to $100 million projects, according to a news release. His team, which is based in the firm’s Iselin office, is just wrapping up work on part of Bridge Development Partners’ BridgePoint 78 project and site work in Phillipsburg, which includes 2.2 million square feet of warehouse space and 400 acres of infrastructure.
“Karl’s expertise in the construction industry is as deep as it is wide,” said David Gasson, vice president and Northeast market leader with Premier. “Having led everything from residential and industrial development to office building construction, Karl is a tremendous asset for our clients.”
Meantime, the firm has promoted Cindy Dunson to senior project manager, from project manager. She is a 13-year veteran of the construction and real estate development industry with experience on a range of building types, including multifamily, medical centers, hospitality, retail and schools.
“Cindy has construction management expertise, a value engineering mindset and a reputation for building collaborative project teams,” Gasson said.
In addition to BridgePoint 78, Premier’s Northeast team is currently leading several high-profile projects, including two speculative warehouses for Avison Young in Carteret and several new retail developments for a European grocery chain.
