NAIOP New Jersey has revealed the honorees for its 39th annual Commercial Real Estate Awards Gala, including Prism Capital Partners’ Edwin Cohen and five other key industry figures.
Cohen, a principal with Nutley-based Prism, will receive the Charles Klatskin Lifetime Achievement Award on May 14 when the chapter welcomes hundreds to The Palace at Somerset Park in the Somerset section of Franklin. He’ll headline a program that will include the organization’s coveted Deal of the Year awards and several other individual honors.
- Impact Award: Clark Machemer, senior managing director with Crow Holdings Development
- Impact Award: Robert C. Kossar, vice chairman of JLL’s Northeast industrial region
- Industry Service Award: Dana Nalbantian, principal with Gensler
- Caren S. Franzini Public Partner Award: East Brunswick Mayor Brad J. Cohen
- Caren S. Franzini Public Partner Award: Bedminster Township Mayor Lawrence F. Jacobs.
“The 2026 Commercial Real Estate Awards honorees represent the standard and strength of New Jersey’s CRE community, and we are very excited to celebrate them,” said Dan Kennedy, NAIOP New Jersey’s CEO. “With new leadership in Trenton, this year’s gala serves as an important moment for the industry to come together to reflect on what we’ve accomplished and prepare for what’s ahead.”
The commercial real estate development association announced the honorees last week, noting that the Charles Klatskin Lifetime Achievement Award pays tribute to an individual who has had a distinguished record in service to the industry and the community. This year’s Public Partner Awards, meantime, will highlight two champions of economic development who have inspired and transformed their communities, while the Industry Service Award will honor Nalbantian’s considerable contributions in support of the industry’s goals.
