Professional services firm PS&S has acquired an engineering group in Allentown, Pennsylvania, bolstering its life sciences platform while expanding its reach in the region.
The firm, which is based in Warren, said the new team brings vast expertise in clean space design and process engineering services across the life sciences, pharmaceutical and food industries. The employees are now part of the full-service architecture, engineering, design, surveying and environmental practice, which has a 63-year history and has made a host of key acquisitions in recent years to support its growth.
“PS&S is thrilled to welcome these talented process engineers, who, by joining forces with our architecture and engineering teams, will complement our existing capabilities in the life sciences space,” said John Sartor, CEO and president of PS&S. “Bringing on these employees in Allentown aligns with our general growth initiatives, enhancing our ability to service our clients on a nationwide basis.”
In announcing the move, PS&S noted that the newly added engineering team has done everything from cleanroom configurations to sterile product flows to help shape facilities that feed the world and save lives.
“We look forward to using our prowess in pharmaceutical GMPs, GMP manufacturing process and bioprocess design to help PS&S advance its process engineering abilities across the life sciences, pharmaceutical and food industries,” said David Marks, a senior project executive with PS&S. “Vastly focused on the life sciences and clean manufacturing industries, we’re eager to help PS&S step into the next phase of its evolution and build stronger, more integrated solutions for the firm’s clientele.”
