Dollar Tree has leased nearly 10,500 square feet in Ocean County at what will be one of its newest locations in New Jersey, brokers with R.J. Brunelli & Co. LLC announced.
Danielle Brunelli, the brokerage firm’s president, represented the dollar store chain in the 10,450-square-foot transaction at Laurel Square on Route 88 in Brick Township. Slated to open in early 2020, Dollar Tree will join At Home, a soon-to-open Corrado’s Market and other tenants at the 246,235-square-foot center.
R.J. Brunelli also touted its recent activity at The Parke at Hamburg, a new 50,150-square-foot center in Wayne that is being developed by March Associates Construction. The most recent tenants to commit are Ulta and The Paper Store, which are leasing 8,500 and 7,500 square feet, respectively, and are both slated to open with the center’s completion late next summer.
The tenants will join operators such as Learning Care Group, Panera Bread and others at the intersection of Hamburg Turnpike and Valley Road. R.J. Brunelli CEO and Principal Ron DeLuca represented ownership on the Ulta lease, while David Szabo of BKR Retail Services represented the tenant. Danielle Brunelli, who is also a principal with the firm, represented the landlord on The Paper Store lease.
In Howell, Senior Sales Associate John Lenaz represented the tenant on a lease that will bring a 2,000-square-foot Code Ninjas learning center to Howell Plaza at 4014 Route 9, according to a news release. The nationwide franchise chain, which teaches computer coding and problem-solving techniques to children ranging from age seven to 14, was slated to open by year-end.
Joseph AmecAngelo of CBRE represented ownership at the Howell property.
Danielle Brunelli also represented European Wax Center in a 1,400-square-foot lease at Hamilton Marketplace on Route 130 and Klockner Road in Hamilton Township. R.J. Brunelli co-brokered the lease with Matt Kenderian of Jeffery Realty, noting that the store is slated to open in the second quarter of 2020.
Meantime, Brunelli represented Vision Source on a 1,724-square-foot lease at a newly constructed, mixed-use property at 29 Washington Ave. in Carteret. The optometry and ophthalmology practice is expected to open in the first quarter of 2020 in the 12,000-square-foot retail portion of the development, which also includes 64 rental units.
In neighboring Union County, R.J. Brunelli Senior Sales Associate Peter Nicholson completed the sale of the just-closed White Castle site at 1335 South Ave. in Plainfield. The firm represented the fast food chain on the transaction, which included the 2,200-square-foot building and 0.3-acre site, while David LaBush of Lee & Associates represented the buyer, who owns other properties in the Plainfield area.
