A meal delivery startup has opened a new facility and East Coast headquarters in Burlington, occupying a 75,000-square-foot former Kraft Foods complex just south of Route 130.
According to Resource Realty, which brokered the lease, the Thistle Health facility at 9 Campus Drive includes 63,000 square feet of refrigeration space and 28 refrigerated loading docks. It also provides a location minutes from the New Jersey Turnpike, allowing the tech‐enabled food and nutrition brand to access the rich consumer bases around Philadelphia and New York City.
Based in San Francisco, Thistle provides at-home delivery of fully prepared, plant-forward meals. Resource Realty’s Brian Wilson represented the company in sourcing its new location.
“When given the assignment to find an East Coast headquarters for Thistle Health, I knew that this building would perfectly fit them,” Wilson said “I was excited to present this to the team as it is challenging to find a building with this much refrigeration and infrastructure in place that was able to be delivered turn‐key in less than 60 days from lease signing.”
In announcing the deal, Resource Realty noted that the former Kraft building was designed to FDA and USDA guidelines. It has loading docks on two sides of the property, cook rooms and significant floor drainage throughout the facility.
