Reynolds Asset Management has expanded its leadership team in three key areas with the additions of Joe Raitt, Sam Magalnik and Matt Breuer.
According to a news release, Raitt joins the Paramus-based firm as director of acquisitions and will manage its new deal pipeline, overseeing the underwriting team and managing new transactions. Magalnik, who will serve as director of asset management, will oversee that team while implementing new policies, procedures and programs designed to drive revenue and reduce expenses as well as provide institutional-quality reporting.
Breuer, for his part, joins Reynolds as in-house general counsel and will handle all legal aspects of the business, including acquisitions and dispositions, contract reviews, partnerships and joint venture agreements, among others.
“As Reynolds continues to grow, expanding our leadership team is key to driving our success,” said Matthew Earl, the firm’s chief operating officer. “Joe, Sam and Matt each bring exceptional expertise to the team that will immediately enhance our operations and play a vital role in strengthening the firm’s ability to scale successfully.”
With 15 years of experience in real estate investment, with a concentration in acquisitions, asset management and capital raising, Raitt most recently served as senior vice president of global real estate at Westmount Capital Partners. He has also held positions at Invesco Real Estate, Westview Group, Seritage Growth Properties, LBA Realty and Cofinance Group, while he is a graduate of King’s College London and pursued a graduate program at Bayes Business School before joining the investment team at Allsop LLP.
Magalnik has held roles at Starlight Investments, Avenue Living Asset Management, Tricon Residential and Deveraux Asset Management, where he gained experience in asset management for multifamily properties, the news release said. He holds a bachelor’s from the University of Alberta and an MBA from the Schulich School of Business at York University.
Breuer, meantime, is a former partner at a prominent law firm in Michigan, where he was included in Best Lawyers in America’s 2023 Ones to Watch list, Reynolds said. After transitioning to the private equity sector, he focused on deal origination, acquisitional management, corporate governance, regulatory compliance and organizational strategy.
He holds a bachelor’s from Michigan State University and a juris doctor from Wayne State University.
