Rock Brook, one of New Jersey’s top engineering firms and a key player in several major asset classes, has joined Salas O’Brien under a merger announced last week.
According to the firms, Monroe-based Rock Brook comes to the deal with a team of mechanical, electrical, fire protection, security and sustainable design professionals serving health care, higher education, life sciences, manufacturing, industrial and corporate clients. That expertise will strengthen Salas O’Brien’s ability to support mission-critical facilities with what the firms described as highly responsive, integrated design services.
Terms were not disclosed. Rock Brook will continue to operate in the same offices with the same leadership and project delivery team, leveraging Salas O’Brien’s resources and technical expertise to expand reach and provide more value for clients.
“Rock Brook’s depth of technical expertise, combined with their award-winning portfolio and strong market presence, makes them an outstanding addition to Salas O’Brien,” said Darin Anderson, Salas O’Brien’s chairman and CEO. “Our shared commitment to innovation, collaboration and client success enhances how we solve complex challenges and create measurable value.”
In a news release, the firms highlighted Rock Brook’s principal-level involvement on every project, its strong reputation for quality and responsiveness and longstanding client relationships on high-profile projects throughout New Jersey, New York and Pennsylvania.
Morrissey Goodale, a specialized management consulting and research firm exclusively serving the architecture, engineering and environmental consulting industries, initiated the transaction and advised Rock Brook, which was founded in 2004.
“This merger with Salas O’Brien represents an exciting evolution for our team,” Rock Brook CEO Gregory J. DeMarco said. “Our award-winning experience in critical markets like health care and life sciences underscores the value we bring. Joining with Salas O’Brien allows us to preserve what has earned trust for generations while gaining new strength to drive innovation and opportunity for our clients and team.”
