Alfred Sanzari Enterprises has welcomed real estate industry veteran Christopher DeLorenzo as its vice president and director of leasing and marketing.
The firm, which is based in Hackensack, said DeLorenzo joins its team from The Birch Group with more than 25 years of experience in the sector. He’s now guiding the leasing and marketing strategy across Sanzari’s 6 million-square-foot northern New Jersey portfolio of office, industrial, retail and medical office properties, working closely with CEO David Sanzari, President Ryan Sanzari and Manager of Leasing and Marketing Carolina Gutierrez to help it maintain high occupancy as part of its long-term ownership strategy.
“Since my grandfather negotiated his first commercial lease, we have taken great pride in our relationships with our tenants and the brokerage community,” Ryan Sanzari said. “Chris’s extensive industry experience and hands-on approach make him the ideal person to build on our seven-plus decades of leasing success. We are excited to welcome him to the Alfred Sanzari Enterprises family and look forward to his achievements in the coming years.”
DeLorenzo most recently was an executive vice president with The Birch Group overseeing leasing, asset management and operations across the company’s 6.5 million-square-foot portfolio, according to a news release. He’s also a former executive vice president in JLL’s New Jersey office, where he represents tenants and landlords, and at the former Mack-Cali Realty Corp., where he was responsible for leasing and asset management for a 26.2 million-square-foot portfolio and was involved in 1,500 transactions valued at more than $2.5 billion.
He now assumes a role long held by Jerry Barta, who retired recently after 30 years with Alfred Sanzari Enterprises.
“Few names in New Jersey’s commercial real estate industry carry the same weight as Alfred Sanzari Enterprises,” DeLorenzo said. “I am honored to have the opportunity to join such a highly respected organization. I look forward to working with the entire team to drive leasing at many of the state’s premier buildings and help the company achieve long-term investment goals.”
