Sitex Group has picked up a 30,000-square-foot warehouse in Fairfield, where it’s planning a series of upgrades with the building slated to become available in 2022.
The Englewood-based firm said the property, 340 Kaplan Drive, has 3,000 square feet of office space, three loading doors and an above-standard parking area. It’s planning to make what it described as cosmetic improvements and updates to the property, seeking to capitalize on a location just south of Route 46 and minutes from Interstate 80.
“We’re excited to add 340 Kaplan Drive to our fast-growing portfolio of logistics properties throughout the Northeast,” said Blake Chroman, a principal with Sitex. “We think this building’s parking capabilities and functionality will appeal to numerous types of companies, particularly those involved in last mile delivery. We continue to seek high-quality buildings and sites in infill locations throughout the region.”
Zimmel Associates’ David Zimmel brokered the deal, the terms of which were not disclosed, and has been retained as the building’s leasing agent. Sitex said the space will be available for occupancy next summer.
