SJP Project Solutions has completed the buildout of more than 11,000 square feet of office space in Bridgewater that serves as a new U.S. hub for a contract research organization.
The SJP Properties affiliate detailed the project last week, noting that Everest Clinical Research occupies space at the developer’s Somerset Corporate Center campus at the junction of routes 202 and 22. The tenant, which is based in Toronto, provides expertise-based clinical research services to worldwide pharmaceutical, biotechnology and medical device industries.
At Somerset Corporate Center, where it occupies 11,045 square feet inside Building 1, it now operates alongside companies such as Lexicon Pharmaceuticals, Cognizant, Qualcomm and Merrill Lynch.
“Everest Clinical Research serves a broad spectrum of the biopharma and medical device industries that dominate much of the New Jersey economy,” said Alexander Erdos, SJP’s senior vice president leasing and development. “Somerset Corporate Center appealed to Everest for several reasons, including its ample amenities, meticulous property management, centralized location, rail, and highway commuting options, and access to the region’s concentration of pharmaceutical industry talent. We are confident that our property will be the ideal home for the company’s U.S. operations.”
SJP Project Solutions, which provides third-party development management services, noted that the five-building 1.2-million-square-foot Somerset Corporate Center sits directly across from the Bridgewater Commons Mall and Lifestyle Center and three miles south of the intersection of interstates 78 and 287. This summer, the firm completed a major renovation at Somerset Corporate Center, elevating the dining experience in the cafes and lounges, as well as modernizing the fitness centers and lobbies.
