The Stro Cos. has signed a new 19,000-square-foot industrial and retail lease in Lodi with a maker of beach bags and accessories, the real estate firm announced Wednesday.
The tenant, Bogg Bag, will use the space at 240 Route 17 South as both a distribution center and a storefront, according to a news release. The space provides it with a location directly on the busy highway and one that’s easily accessible from Interstate 80 and the New Jersey Turnpike.
Jack Shulman, Stro’s director of acquisitions and capital markets, said the 28,000-square-foot property’s “unique positioning offers Bogg Bag an unrivaled opportunity to grow their business and provide incredible access to one of the busiest roadways in New Jersey.”
“We are excited to welcome Bogg Bag to the building and see their success in combining retail and warehousing all under one roof,” he added.
The deal comes three years after Stro acquired the building, a well-known former retail property that was the longtime home of the Party Box, a family-owned party goods store.
“Bogg Bag is excited to call 240 Route 17 our new home,” Bogg Bag founder and owner Kim Vaccarella said. “We were in the market for a larger distribution center and were pleasantly surprised when we realized we could also utilize the space to open our first retail location. Hopefully opening for holiday 2021, Boutique 26 will be filled with unique gifts for the Bogg Bag lover and beyond.”
