Urban Edge Properties has signed an 800-square-foot lease with Chip City Cookies, bringing another tenant to a grocery-anchored shopping center in Evesham Township.
The chain, which is marking its fourth New Jersey location, will occupy the last space within a newly erected pad site at Marlton Commons at 307 Route 70 West. That will expose area residents to the New York-based operator, whose menu changes weekly to offer classic flavors and seasonal varieties.
At Marlton Commons, a 224,559-square-foot complex, Chip City joins food tenants such as Cava, First Watch, Shake Shack and Honeygrow and others including ShopRite, Kohl’s and Mattress Firm.
“With the addition of Chip City Cookies, Marlton Commons is now 100 percent leased,” said Ronnie Bertrand, director for leasing with Urban Edge. “We’re very pleased to bring the NYC-native concept to the center, further enhancing the existing strong lineup of restaurant and food tenants here in Marlton.”
Chip City Cookies, which also has locations in Hoboken, Montclair and Ridgewood, worked with Jason Brooke of MSC on the transaction. Bertrand represented Urban Edge.
“We couldn’t be more excited to join the Marlton Commons community,” said Peter Phillips, cofounder and CEO of Chip City Cookies. “There’s something really special about bringing our cookies to a new neighborhood, and we can’t wait to welcome everyone through our doors. Whether you’re a longtime fan or trying us for the first time, we’re here to make your day a little sweeter.”
