The Clinical Group, the growing medical real estate and health care advisory firm, has bolstered its team in a significant way with the addition of two prominent brokers in the space.
The company announced Thursday that it has welcomed Darren Lizzack and Randy Horning as principals and as the leaders of a new medical properties division. The veteran brokers join the Hackensack -based firm having negotiated more than 200 office and health care leasing and sales transactions, The Clinical Group said, noting that they’ll focus on landlord representation and investment sales to owners and investors that are specifically focused on the asset class.
Lizzack previously spent more than 25 years with NAI James E. Hanson, where Horning was also a longtime broker with a tenure of more than a decade. They join The Clinical Group alongside team member Katie Alexander, their client coordinator.
“We welcome Team Lizzack-Horning to our collection of health care experts,” said Jonathan Marks, founder and CEO of The Clinical Group. “Randy and Darren are two of New Jersey’s most trusted and respected commercial real estate brokers, especially in the health care sector. This addition creates a major opportunity in the health care market for all our service lines combining three of the Northeast’s leading medical real estate advisers with specialized medical market expertise and an extensive health care network as we expand in New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania and beyond.”
The firm — which includes sister companies Clinical Medical Real Estate Solutions, Clinical Advisory Group and Clinical Development — noted that Horning and Lizzack have worked with prominent users such as Hackensack Meridian Health, Holy Name Medical Center, St. Joseph’s Health and Hudson Regional Health. In addition, they have represented several specialty practices, including Fresenius Medical Care, Fertility Institute of New Jersey and New York, Skin & Laser Care of NJ and others.
“The move to The Clinical Group as a fully integrated platform, along with the launch of a new tech-enabled website to service the medical properties market, enhances our ability to provide services to our clients,” Lizzack-Horning said in a joint statement. “We have already seen the power of the platform in new opportunities for us and solutions provided by the team.”
