A grocery operator has acquired a former Wawa building in Cape May County and now plans to operate the property as a food market, according to brokers with The Goldstein Group.
The retail brokerage said it represented both parties in the sale of the 4,000-square-foot building at 107 New Jersey Route 50 in Ocean View. The firm identified the buyer and seller as Ocean View LLC and Wawa Inc., respectively, although terms were not disclosed.
The Goldstein Group President Chuck Lanyard said the buying entity, led by Raj Modi, acquired the one-acre site with the aim of opening it as an Oasis Market. Modi also owns the Pantry 1 Food Market in Cape May.
The property sits at the corner of Hope Corson Road, with convenient access to Route 9 and the Garden State Parkway.
The Goldstein Group Vice President John T. Ostrowski and Sales Associate John Kelly brokered the sale for the Paramus-based retail real estate services firm.
