Wilentz, Goldman & Spitzer has announced a new addition to its real estate and redevelopment practice groups.
In a news release, the Woodbridge-based firm said Cheri Ciano joins its team as counsel. She brings more than 20 years of experience in commercial real estate, having served as in-house counsel to leading developers and property management firms such as Edgewood Properties, PRC Group and PRC Management Co. Inc. and Applied Property Management Co. and Ironstate Development Co.
At Wilentz, Ciano represents clients in all aspects of real estate development, including negotiating and structuring complex transactions, leases, mergers and acquisitions, dispositions, construction, private and commercial lending and other financings, the firm said. She earned her J.D. from Boston University School of Law in 1994 and her undergraduate degree from Pennsylvania State University in 1991, both with honors, and is admitted to practice law in New Jersey.
“We are pleased to welcome Cheri to our team, which focuses on delivering thoughtful and practical advice in all aspects of commercial real estate law,” said Todd E. Lehder, co-chair of the real estate practice group at Wilentz. “Cheri’s extensive transactional and development experience will be of great value to our clients, and her seasoned in-house perspective is a perfect complement to the practical philosophy that sets Wilentz apart from the rest.”
