A dental practice and a Taiwanese dessert chain have leased a combined 4,500 square feet at what will soon be a newly completed, 11,000-square-foot strip center in Edison.
Brokers with Cushman & Wakefield announced Monday that iSmile Dental, a family and cosmetic dental chain, will occupy 2,500 square feet at 1906 Route 27. The second tenant, Meet Fresh, has agreed to lease 2,000 square feet.
C&W Senior Director David Townes and Senior Associate Alana Friedman represented ownership in both transactions, noting that the property is slated to be delivered later this year. Joe Lombardi of Masserano Real Estate and Consulting LLC represented iSmile, while KC Cheah of KCC Realty represented Meet Fresh.
“Dining and health care are important components of today’s overall retail experience and comprise a larger percentage of tenant mixes than ever before,” Townes said. “1906 Route 27 offers tenants the opportunity to establish a presence in a densely populated, fundamentally strong market. We expect both iSmile Dental and Meet Fresh to enjoy tremendous success here.”
In a news release, C&W touted the site’s access to Interstate 287 and the surrounding residential population of more than 299,000 people within a five-mile radius. The firm, which is marketing additional space at the complex, also noted that the daytime population in the same radius exceeds 392,000.
