A developer is off to a fast start at a new 70-unit apartment building in Bayonne, where it’s now relying on virtual tours in order to maintain social distancing for staff and prospective renters.
LanTree Developments announced last week that it has launched leasing at Lofts Two22, a collection of luxury homes at 222 Avenue E. Part of the city’s up-and-coming Loft District, the building was already 30 percent leased as of April 6, offering a location steps from the Hudson-Bergen Light Rail and a series of lifestyle amenities.
The developer also said it would market the building virtually in response to the COVID-19 crisis, with prospective tenants able to tour the homes and amenities via YouTube videos, photos and floorplans before completing the application process electronically. LanTree has completely shut its leasing office in an effort to keep both the leasing team and current residents safe, while keeping foot traffic in the building to a minimum.
“We designed Lofts Two22 to speak to today’s modern renter, who is looking for more space, luxury finishes, elevated amenities and easy access to transit,” LanTree Developments Principal Raphael Mandelbaum said. “We were confident that there was a demand for a residential offering of this caliber in Bayonne, and the early leasing interest has validated our belief.”
Lofts Two22 features one- and two-bedroom residences with high-end layouts, finishes and appliances, the developer said. The pet-friendly community includes amenities such as a modern fitness center with Peloton bikes, a resident’s lounge with pool table and fireplace and a rooftop deck with sweeping views of Manhattan.
The Sutherlin Group of KW City Life, Keller Williams Realty is overseeing leasing and marketing at the property. Pricing for a one-bedroom apartment starts at $1,999, with two-bedrooms starting at $2,695.
