Arts and crafts retailer Michaels has leased 25,000 square feet in Sussex County, in one of several newly announced transactions by Jeffery Realty.
Bill Farkas, a broker with the firm, represented ownership in the deal at Hampton Plaza at 27 Hampton House Road in Newton, where the chain will join tenants such as Staples, Harbor Freight, Dollar Tree and others. Jamie Sackeim of The Shopping Center Group represented the tenant.
Farkas also represented The STRO Cos. in its recent purchase of a 53,000-square-foot commercial building at 404 Sette Drive in Paramus. He also represented the seller of the property, which sits at the crossroads of Route 17, Route 4 and the Garden State Parkway.
Meantime, Jeffery’s Mike Testa and Steve Battista represented ownership in Grocery Outlet Bargain Market’s new 20,000-square-foot lease at Hazlet Plaza on Route 35 in Hazlet, with Newmark’s Andrew Connolly representing the tenant. In Roselle, Battista and colleague Joe Hydro completed a 21,800-square-foot lease by Top Line Appliance Center at the Roselle Shopping Center on Raritan Road.
