Kushner Real Estate Group has welcomed its first residents to a new garden-style apartment property in Marlboro, where it has leased more than 70 percent of its 285 homes.
The developer on Wednesday joined Mayor Jonathan Hornik and other dignitaries to mark the milestone and unveil what’s known as Beacon Hill, a collection of 14 three-story buildings in the township’s Morganville section. It did so as it enjoys a strong response from renters, having launched leasing earlier this year, thanks in part to a 4,000-square-foot clubhouse and other high-end amenity spaces, plus a location near downtown Red Bank, NJ Transit’s Aberdeen-Matawan station and major roadways such as the Garden State Parkway and routes 34, 35 and 79.
Designed by Minno & Wasko Architects and Planners, the 47-acre community at 100 Buckingham St. is a new addition to KRE’s portfolio of ground-up luxury suburban rentals. Monthly rental rates for the collection of two-bedroom units start at just under $3,200.
“We are delighted to host Mayor Hornik and township officials today as we celebrate the debut of Beacon Hill, a remarkable residential enclave that brings a fresh housing option to this desirable community,” said Jonathan Kushner, president of KRE Group. “Our goal was to provide residents with a blend of location, luxury and value that is unmatched in Monmouth County. Judging by the strong leasing pace and positive feedback from our first residents, I believe we’ve accomplished that.”
Amenities at Beacon Hill include a high-end fitness center, a clubroom with billiards and a fireplace, a coworking lounge and a kitchen and dining area that can be used for entertaining, according to a news release. Residents also have access to open-air amenities such as a pool, a sundeck, fire pits, grills, bocce courts, a playground and a four-season lounge with a bar.
“I am pleased to welcome Beacon Hill, a new premium community offering top-tier amenities, to Marlboro,” Hornik said. “The residents of Beacon Hill have chosen to make Marlboro their home, a testament to the town’s reputation as one of the premier suburban communities in the state. We are a welcoming and vibrant community with many open public spaces for recreation, restaurants and houses of worship, and residents involved in all facets of volunteerism.”
KRE added that the community’s name reflects Marlboro’s historical significance as one of three key sites in Monmouth County where signal beacons were lit during the Revolutionary War to alert local militia to British advances. The developer drew inspiration from that heritage, which it expressed through subtle design choices that embrace the revolutionary spirit of 1779.
“KRE Group’s dedication to quality construction, intentional design and resident satisfaction is evident in every detail at Beacon Hill,” said Marc Kushner, chief design officer of KRE Group. “With its resort-like ambiance, spacious residences, curated amenities and prime Marlboro location, Beacon Hill delivers a well-crafted living experience for today’s discerning renter.”
