A trade publication has recognized Shane Omundsen, vice president of acquisitions with Denholtz, as a rising star and a key player in the firm’s growing national footprint.
Published annually, the Connect CRE Next Generation Awards honor commercial real estate professionals under age 35 who are making significant contributions to their companies and communities while shaping the future of the industry, according to a news release. This year’s list included Omundsen, who joined Red Bank-based Denholtz in 2022 and has supported the growth of a U.S. portfolio that now spans more than 7 million square feet.
Earlier in 2025, Omundsen’s team oversaw the firm’s first acquisition in South Carolina with the purchase of 20/21 Business Center, a 98,386-square-foot multitenant flex industrial portfolio located in Columbia.
“Shane’s recognition is a testament to his exceptional leadership, tireless work ethic and deep understanding of the commercial real estate landscape,” said Mark Mahasky, senior vice president and head of acquisitions at Denholtz. “His contributions have been instrumental in driving our national growth strategy, and we’re incredibly proud to see him acknowledged alongside so many talented rising stars across the industry.”
Omundsen added: “I am honored to be named a Next Generation Awards honoree by Connect CRE. I would like to thank Mark Mahasky and the entire Denholtz team for their continued support and mentorship, and I look forward to building on our success as we continue to execute our strategic growth goals.”
