Tenants have all but filled a 73,000-square-foot retail center in Edgewater after a flurry of recent leasing activity secured by RIPCO Real Estate.
The brokerage team, which represents ownership at Edgewater Marketplace, said the property at 725 River Road is 97 percent leased thanks to recent deals with J.Crew, IVX Health, SweatHouz, Dream Pharmacy, K Beauty and Paris Baguette. It’s now marketing a 2,674-square-foot former fitness space, seeking to attract a final tenant to the property’s mix of wellness, fitness, retail and dining tenants.
Trader Joe’s is the center’s anchor.
“This leasing milestone reflects both the incredible consumer demand in Edgewater and the strategic positioning of Edgewater Marketplace,” said Deborah Stone, an executive managing director with RIPCO. “We are proud to have created a synergistic tenant lineup that aligns with the evolving lifestyle, health and dining preferences of today’s consumer — especially in a dynamic waterfront community like this one.”
In a news release, RIPCO noted that several tenants have already opened this past year, with others set to open in early fall and early next year. They’ll benefit from the site’s strong visibility, daily traffic counts and on-site parking, plus its convenient access to New York City via the George Washington Bridge.
“Edgewater Marketplace has always been a cornerstone retail asset along the Gold Coast,” said Brad Gillman, managing director for the ownership group. “With Deborah’s exceptional execution and a tenant mix that brings vitality to the community, we are proud to offer a center that meets the daily needs of our residents while elevating their lifestyle in meaningful ways.”
