Stir fry and salad chain honeygrow has opened at a North Brunswick shopping center, adding to the company’s fast-growing footprint in New Jersey.
The space at Commerce Center, a 318,197-square-foot complex at 2416 Route 1, is now among nearly a dozen stores in the Garden State for the Philadelphia-based operator. It joins a tenant roster that includes Crunch Fitness, BJ’s, Regal Cinemas and Chick-fil-A, among others, while shoppers have access to Tesla charging stations.
Other newly opened honeygrow locations in New Jersey include Kearny and Woodbridge, according to a news release. The North Brunswick site, which is responsible for 40 jobs, also caps off a year in which the fast casual chain grew from 54 to 71 restaurants, an expansion of more than 30 percent.
“When we started honeygrow, our mission was clear: to make better-for-you food fast, delicious, and something you cannot get anywhere else,” said Justin Rosenberg, the company’s founder and CEO. “Our expansion into North Brunswick reflects that vision and we’re excited for continued growth in New Jersey.”
honeygrow’s menu is fully customizable, featuring proteins such as steak, chicken, shrimp, tofu, and egg paired with freshly made egg white and whole wheat noodles, brown rice or a vegetable base such as kale or arugula, the operator said. Guests can personalize their meals with sauces, dressings, vegetables, fruits, cheeses and roasted garlic, while the company offers a “honeybar” dessert with fresh fruit, sweet toppings and drizzled with honey.
