The owner of a grocery-anchored retail property in Sussex County has tapped RIPCO Real Estate as the leasing agent for the property’s newest phase.
According to a news release, the assignment at Wiebel Plaza includes a 5,000-square-foot endcap unit along heavily traveled Route 23, part of a 17,646-square-foot strip center in Wantage that’s already home to ShopRite Liquors. The building is also adjacent to an 86,500-square-foot ShopRite that opened in fall 2023 and quickly established itself as a dominant daily-needs destination.
RIPCO’s Curtis Nassau and Matt Grundy are representing RoNetco Supermarkets Inc., the grocery store’s operator, noting that the new space can be leased in full or demised into two 2,500-square-foot units. Ownership expects to deliver the space in June 2026.
“This is a terrific opportunity for anyone looking to capitalize on the daily-needs, everyday traffic generated by ShopRite, which is considered by many to be one of the strongest shopping center anchors today,” said Nassau, an executive vice president with RIPCO.
The team said the ShopRite at 1 Wiebel Plaza averages more than 21,000 visits per week, citing cell phone analytics from Placer.ai. Also home to True Value Hardware, the center serves a trade area with average household incomes exceeding $130,000 within a five-mile radius.
“Positioned along Route 23, one of Sussex County’s primary north-south corridors, Wiebel Plaza attracts shoppers not only locally but regionally, drawing traffic from New Jersey, New York and Pennsylvania,” said Grundy, an executive managing director with RIPCO.
