Accurate is on the verge of another milestone at a new apartment building in Bayonne, where it has leased nearly three-quarters of the property’s 252 available homes.
The developer announced the milestone last week at 155 Goldsborough Drive, following the start of occupancy last June. Since then, the building known as Citizen Bayonne has attracted those seeking an alternative to New York City and neighboring Jersey City, while providing renters with a waterfront setting and a series of high-end amenities.
Net-effective monthly rental rates start in the $2,300s for one-bedroom homes and in the $3,300s for two-bedroom units, including incentives.
“We are proud that so many residents are choosing to live at Citizen Bayonne,” said Jack Klugmann, CEO and president of Accurate. “The location is well-connected to Manhattan and Jersey City and offers an appealing waterfront setting. We expect the strong leasing pace to continue and we look forward to welcoming more residents to the community.”
Designed by Devereaux & Associates, with interiors by HH Designers and landscape design by Melillo & Bauer, Citizen Bayonne has views of New York Harbor and the Bayonne Golf Club and amenities such as a high-end fitness center, a resident lounge, co-working space, a smart package room and covered parking with electric car charging stations, according to a news release. Outdoor offerings include a landscaped courtyard with dining areas, grilling stations, lounge seating, firepits and foosball tables.
It’s also among the latest additions to a 103-acre peninsula that is being redeveloped with residential and retail uses, as well as pocket parks, waterfront walkways, mass transit and other community uses. Residents are a short walk from retail destinations such as Starbucks, CVS, Costco, Stop & Shop, Lidl and LA Fitness and from two Hudson-Bergen Light Rail stops, while Citizen Bayonne provides them with complimentary resident shuttle to Jersey City.
For Accurate, it’s part of a modern rental community that will ultimately consist of two five-story residential buildings. Each will open under the firm’s growing Citizen brand of apartments, which are rising throughout New Jersey as well as Philadelphia, Miami and Fairfield, Connecticut.
