Local officials in Franklin Lakes joined Adoni Property Group recently to mark the opening of the firm’s new 52-unit luxury apartment building in the borough.
Known as The Franklin, the four-story property at 8 Tice Road launched leasing last summer. Adoni has lured renters to the site with its amenities and its suburban location, the developer said, paving the way for a recent ribbon-cutting ceremony with Mayor Charles J. X. Kahwaty.
“We’d like to thank Mayor Kahwaty for helping us officially open The Franklin, a high-end residential building that’s reflective of the character of Franklin Lakes,” Adoni Property Group CEO Sonny Adoni said. “The building has drawn many longtime borough residents who appreciate the opportunity to enjoy an upscale lifestyle experience in a maintenance-free environment while remaining a part of the community they love. We’ve also welcomed many newcomers to Franklin Lakes excited to reside in a location often described as one of the best places to live in New Jersey. The dynamic mix of residents has created a vibrant residential destination that’s become an asset to the neighborhood.”

Aside from its upscale homes ranging from one-bedroom to two-bedroom duplexes, The Franklin has amenities such as an outdoor patio with fire pits and gas grills, a pergola with an outdoor area and a dog run, according to a news release. Inside, residents have access to a furnished lobby, a modern fitness center, a lounge and event space and a children’s playroom, among others.
Additional perks for renters include a location 25 miles from Manhattan and access to both bus and rail service in the area, the developer said, adding that Interstate 287 passes through Franklin Lakes. Residents are also minutes from a selection of shops, dining and services in the borough and surrounding towns, along with recreation options such as the Franklin Lakes Nature Preserve and the 40-acre Saddle Ridge Riding Center.
Adoni added that, in nearby Wyckoff, the Boulder Run Shopping Center offers a mix of national retailers.
