Advance Realty has unveiled the first phase of its plan to renovate and enhance a 128-unit luxury apartment building in uptown Hoboken, following its acquisition of the property last year.
The developer said this week that it has modernized more than 50 percent of the two- and three-bedroom units at The Bexley, located at 1300 Clinton St., while dramatically upgrading the property with new upscale amenities. Those features include a new cyber café with conference-style seating and personal breakout spaces, plus a resident lounge with WiFi, flat-screen TVs, a shuffleboard table and seating areas.
With the first phase of renovations now complete, Advance is in the process of updating the building’s lobbies and transforming its landscaped courtyard into an upscale amenity deck complete with fire pits, grilling stations and seating areas. The company has hired the Bozzuto Group to provide 24-hour on-site management.

“The recent upgrades completed at The Bexley has transformed the property into a luxury residential community offering residents a lifestyle of convenience, accessibility, and all the modern comforts,” said Angela Tsai, Advance Realty’s director of asset management. “The building has undergone a series of thoughtful upgrades that marry contemporary style and an unparalleled convenience to everything Hoboken has to offer.”
Upgrades to the units include new wide plank flooring, contemporary solid wood kitchen cabinets and quartz countertops and bathrooms with glazed porcelain tile and rainfall shower heads, according to a news release. Half of the building’s hallways have also been fully modernized, with the remainder slated to be complete by September.
Advance purchased the five-story complex in early 2017 for about $77 million. It sits directly adjacent to Harlow, the developer’s 140-unit luxury apartment building at 14th Street and Willow Avenue that opened about three months earlier and is home to Trader Joe’s.
The Bexley has on-site covered parking, resident bike storage, shuttle service to and from the Hoboken PATH terminal and other services.
“The Bexley represents everything the modern renter desires — from access to public transportation and main thoroughfares to tasteful living areas and first-class amenities, all within a vibrant, walkable neighborhood,” said Stephanie Williams, president of Bozzuto Management Co. “We’re delighted to partner with Advance Realty as their attention to detail and focus on creating extraordinary spaces offer our residents what they have come to expect from Bozzuto-managed communities.”
