A new restaurant and café are coming to Harrison’s Riverbend District, the growing mixed-use neighborhood developed in recent years by Advance Realty Investors.
The developer announced last week that The Wyldes, its 399-unit luxury apartment building at 1100 South 5th St., will soon be home to concepts known as Keepers and Keepers Coffee. The eateries will occupy the property’s ground floor space, with plans to open this spring in a location that’s directly across from the New York Red Bulls’ Sports Illustrated Stadium.
Episcope Hospitality — led by David Morton of the renowned Morton’s Steakhouse family, Ryan Gaudin and Daniel Orrison — will operate the new restaurants.
“Keepers is designed to be more than just a restaurant — it’s a community hub,” said Orrison, partner at Episcope Hospitality. “Our location next to Sports Illustrated Stadium and partnership with Advance Realty allow us to create a destination where residents and visitors can come together — whether it’s for a pregame meal, a post-work cocktail or to connect with neighbors and friends.”
Advance noted that the restaurant and café will bring an all-day dining experience at the high-end rental property. Breakfast offerings will include coffee, pastries and grab-and-go items tailored for commuters, while diners at lunchtime can order items such as gourmet burgers and fresh-made salads.
The dinner menu will have what Advance described as elevated classic comfort food, craft cocktails and a curated selection of local beers.
“Keepers represents the next step in our vision to make the Riverbend District a true destination for both residents and visitors alike,” said Dan Cocoziello, principal and chief operating officer of Advance Realty Investors. “Partnering with a respected name like Episcope Hospitality allows us to offer an exceptional culinary experience that enriches the neighborhood and elevates its appeal to the greater Harrison area and beyond. As Harrison continues to draw residents from across the New York Metro area, this dynamic restaurant and café will further enhance the lifestyle and sense of community we’ve worked to cultivate here.”
In a news release, Advance said the restaurant’s design will create a warm and inviting environment with a modern twist on classic American style. Keepers will also feature a private event space for up to 50 guests, catering to private gatherings, gameday celebrations and corporate meetings.
Designed by MHS Architecture and built by March Associates Construction, The Wyldes is a collection of studio, one-bedroom and two-bedroom homes 10 miles from New York City. Amenities include 45,000 square feet of outdoor green space such as landscaped courtyards with an infinity-edge pool, a sun deck, firepits, a bar with TVs, grills, outdoor dining areas, games and a screening area.
The building opened in 2023, marking the latest addition to Advance’s Riverbend District near the Harrison PATH station. Its earlier projects in the town have included Steel Works, a 286-unit property completed in 2017, and Cobalt Lofts, which added another 280 units to the district about a year and a half later.
