The head of Atlantic Environmental Solutions Inc. has earned “Executive of the Year” honors as part of an annual awards ceremony by the New Jersey Business & Industry Association.
The Hoboken-based consulting firm this week announced the award for its president and founder, Michael Novak. He was among 13 individuals and business who were honored during the NJBIA’s Awards for Excellence competition, which drew a crowd of about 150 to The Palace at Somerset Park.
“It is truly a privilege to be included among the outstanding individuals and organizations being honored this year by the NJBIA,” Novak said. “This recognition is a testament to the hard work and dedication of the entire AESI team, and it further strengthens our commitment to delivering the highest quality service to new and existing clients.”
The awards recognize those that have helped improve the economic climate and quality of life in New Jersey, according to a news release. Winners were chosen in five categories: Executives of the Year, NJBIA Members of the Year, Community Service, Outstanding Employers and Environmental Quality.
Since founding AESI, Novak has led a team that has completed $65 million in environmental projects at more than 5,000 commercial and industrial sites nationwide, according to a news release. The firm’s revenue has increased fourfold in the past 10 years.
