Aldi is adding to its growing stable of supermarkets in New Jersey, leasing more than 21,000 square feet at a South Brunswick shopping center.
The Goldstein Group announced Monday that it represented Wasa Properties, the landlord at 4801 Route 1, in a 21,429-square-foot transaction with the grocery chain. The location is slated to open later this year, joining PetSmart, Bob’s Discount Furniture and other tenants at the 80,000-square-foot Heritage Square.
Lew Finkelstein, an executive vice president with The Goldstein Group, and CJ Huter, a vice president, completed the assignment. Brian Wherty of Equity Retail Brokers represented Aldi, which has more than 1,900 stores in 36 states.
