A flurry of renewals with law and accounting firms have helped drive recent leasing at an office complex in downtown Hackensack, owner Alfred Sanzari Enterprises announced.
The firm said it has inked three renewals with law firms totaling 40,300 square feet at Court Plaza South, located at 21 Main St. within the three-building complex. The largest among them is a deal with regional law firm Archer P.C., which occupies 30,300 square feet at the campus.
Stephen C. Jennings, vice president of leasing and marketing for Sanzari, negotiated all of the transactions on behalf of the landlord. Jack Fatigati of The Garibaldi Group represented Archer, whose practice areas include corporate, estate and trust, family and matrimonial, labor and employment and medical and personal injury law, among others.
Sanzari also renewed the 7,500-square-foot lease of Kaufman Dolowich & Voluck LLP, a litigation firm, as well as the 2,500-square-foot lease of general practice firm Springstead & Maurice LLC. Kevin J. Murphy and Peter T. Rossi of Newmark Knight Frank served as tenant’s broker for Kaufman Dolowich & Voluck.
“Law firms that establish a presence at Court Plaza value the prestige and convenience that comes with conducting business in a premier downtown office environment within walking distance of the Bergen County Courthouse,” Jennings said. “We are pleased these three successful law firms have chosen to remain in place at Court Plaza, and look forward to continuing our relationship with these valued tenants.”
The landlord also announced other recent renewals at the 335,000-square-foot complex, including five that are part of a small space program offering flexible term, turnkey office suites for smaller legal and professional services firms. Jennings also negotiated the deals, which include:
- A renewal by Lorraine Teleky-Petrella, an environmental, family, personal injury and real estate law firm that occupies 1,480 square feet at Court Plaza North
- EisnerAmper LLP’s 1,370-square-foot renewal at Court Plaza South
- Law firm Cowen & Jacobs’s renewal for 1,245 square feet at Court Plaza South
- A 680-square-foot renewal at Court Plaza South by family and matrimonial law firm Townsend, Tomaio & Newmark LLC
- A 460-square-foot renewal by Vosbikian & Vosbikian LLC, which focuses its practice on immigration law, at Court Plaza South
“Court Plaza draws — and retains — tenants of all sizes in search of a quality business address complemented by on-site amenities, convenient highway access and proximity to the Bergen County Court system,” Jennings said. “We are pleased these firms have renewed their commitment to Court Plaza, and look forward to being part of their ongoing growth and success.”
The three-building complex offers shared amenities and sits just one mile from Interstate 80 and routes 4 and 17. The campus is also walkable to restaurants, retailers and public transportation.
