An ophthalmology and retina group has leased nearly 36,000 square feet of office space in Berkeley Heights, under a transaction announced Wednesday by Avison Young.
Brokers with the firm represented the tenant, Prism Vision Group, in the 36,544-square-foot transaction with Signature Acquisitions. The building, 420 Mountain Ave., will serve as the new headquarters for what is one of the country’s largest and most successful practices of its kind.
“It was a pleasure working with Prism Vision to find a new location for their headquarters,” said Jeff Heller, a principal with Avison Young and managing director of its New Jersey office. “Our team of professionals relied on their exceptional knowledge of the market and was able to identify fully-furnished space in a Class A building and negotiate a complex deal.”
Heller completed the assignment with support from Senior Vice President Steven Geltzeiler, noting that 420 Mountain Ave. is minutes from Interstate 78. The four-story property offers quick access to nearby amenities such as shopping and dining options in downtown Berkeley Heights and Summit, along with a direct route to Manhattan and Newark Liberty International Airport.
