Bijou Properties is set to debut its latest luxury residential project in Hoboken, a set of 10 condominiums in the northwest section of the city.
The developer said Wednesday that it would launch sales this summer at 1401 Grand St. for the property known as VIA Lofts. Initial occupancy at the six-story building is slated for October 2018, as Bijou looks to fill a mix of two- and three-bedrooms homes.
“Uptown Hoboken has staked its claim as one of the region’s most desirable residential settings for homebuyers seeking urban-inspired luxury, a family-oriented setting and commuter convenience into Manhattan,” said Christopher Mazzola, development manager for Bijou, which is based in the city. “VIA Lofts will effectively tap into this market by introducing well-appointed homes with large and open floorplans in a stylish and eco-friendly building that promotes a healthier, more efficient lifestyle.”
The development is Bijou’s latest in the northwest section of the city.
The firm said VIA Lofts is on pace to receive LEED Platinum certification from the U.S. Green Building Council, following other Bijou projects that have achieved a LEED designation. Designed by Marchetto Higgins Stieve Architects, the project is being built in accordance with the guidelines for developing high-performance, sustainable buildings that incorporate responsible site development, energy efficient design and ecofriendly materials.
