The Blau & Berg Co. has announced the promotion of two veteran brokers on its team.

In a news release, the Short Hills-based firm said it has elevated Peter J. Murano Jr. to managing executive director. He recently began his 22nd year with the company, which follows a successful career in the transportation industry that culminated in a partial ownership position with Trans-Jersey Express.
Blau & Berg added that Murano has completed more than 2 million square feet of real estate transactions for eight straight years, while he manages a vast portfolio and benefits from frequent client referrals. He is also responsible for conducting interviews and filtering candidates for sales positions.
“Peter works tirelessly for his clients,” said Jason M. Crimmins, president of Blau & Berg. “Peter’s promotion truly is a positive reflection on his repeated successes, and we are really fortunate to have him as part of our growing, collaborative team. I look forward to his continued prosperity.”

Meantime, Blau & Berg said it has promoted Scott Savastano to executive director. The move follows his arrival at the company in 2016, which came after a multidecade career involving more than $1 billion in real estate acquisitions, financing and development.
“I am fortunate to have someone like Scott, whose contribution both individually and as part of a collaborative group was key to our success despite a tough year dealing with social isolation, and pandemic-related issues,” Crimmins said. “It is my honor to promote Scott. It’s a reflection of his success. I look forward to his continued prosperity going forward.”
