Kushner Cos. has signed another three retail leases at Pier Village, helping to grow and diversify the tenant roster at the sprawling mixed-use property in Long Branch.
According to the firm and its leasing agent, Pierson Commercial, the new users include an offshoot of Gold’s Gym, which has been a tenant at Pier Village for more than 15 years. Known as Phorm, the boutique fitness concept will occupy 1,650 square feet, augmenting the chain’s existing 16,000-square-foot space at the oceanfront residential, retail and recreational destination.
Also joining The Shops at Pier Village is aXd by Alba, a women’s boutique carrying an assortment of clothing and accessories under $100, Kushner said. Its 1,730-square-foot lease at the property will mark its fifth storefront alongside locations in Ridgewood, Hoboken, Summit and Morristown, joining current Pier Village clothing and apparel retailers including Molly and Zoey and Salt Nation Surf Shop.
The third new tenant, Baldy Art Gallery, will occupy 1,700 square feet at Pier Village. The fine art photography studio will be the first such gallery to open at the year-round property, displaying both renowned and up-and-coming fine art photographers and hosting special events and openings throughout the summer.
“Bringing our vision to fruition has always hinged on attracting a diverse lineup of shopping, entertainment and dining tenants to what continues to be one of New Jersey’s most in-demand retail developments,” said Nicole Kushner Meyer, principal and president of Kushner. “We’re excited to welcome our new retailers to our tenant roster and for our residents and the more than 2.3 million visitors that enjoy all that Pier Village has to offer throughout the year to experience these exciting new retail options.”
All three new tenants are scheduled to open by Memorial Day 2022, according to a news release. They’ll be among the latest additions to a destination that is home to more than 130,000 square feet of shopping and dining space, 493 luxury apartments, 243 upscale condos and 91 hotel rooms.
“Pier Village continues to be the Jersey Shore’s go-to destination for retail businesses of all kinds,” said Ryan Starkman, a director at Pierson Commercial. “The robust leasing activity that we have already seen in 2022 speaks to the continued appeal of Pier Village and we look forward to seeing each of these exciting businesses open their doors for the summer.”
Pier Village has retail and restaurant leasing opportunities available starting from roughly 1,200 square feet to more than 4,000 square feet, Pierson said. All restaurant spaces can accommodate outdoor dining.
