A food distributor has leased more than 52,000 square feet of industrial space in Franklin’s Somerset section, in the latest expansion of its footprint in recent years.
According to Bussel Realty Corp., which represented both parties, A3K Imports LLC will occupy more than half of the 102,994-square foot property at 275 Pierce St. Its new space comes with 26-foot clear ceiling heights, tailboard and drive-in loading doors, 75 surface parking spaces and other features, plus a location near Exit 10 of Interstate 287.
BRC Executive Vice President Gregory Irving represented the landlord, 275 Pierce Street LLC, while Vice President Anthony Mircovich and Industrial Specialist Steve Jaynes represented the tenant in the 52,291-square-foot deal.
“A3K Imports has been expanding at an extremely rapid rate, having started in only 5,000 square feet in Somerset just 3 years ago,” Mircovich said. “As a distributor in the food industry, A3K Imports did not feel the effects of the pandemic on their business since their products were essential to all consumers.”
The deal comes a month after BRC announced A3K’s 5,000-square-foot lease at a nearby building, 68 Veronica Ave., which Mircovich also brokered. Irving, meantime, has represented the landlord at 275 Pierce for more than 20 years, having brokered the client’s acquisition of the property the early 2000s.
