A newly built, 54,000-square-foot flex industrial park in South Plainfield is now fully leased after a year-long effort by Bussel Realty Corp.
The Edison-based firm announced recently that it had leased the entirety of 100 Ryan St., a two-building complex off Interstate 287. More than two dozen companies occupy the property, the former site of a junk yard that was redeveloped.
“This site was a challenge to develop and took years to complete,” said Steve Bussel, president of Bussel Realty Corp. “The former buildings on the property were demolished and the site was environmentally remediated before construction could begin.”
Bussel led the group that redeveloped the four-acre site. Piscitelli Brothers Construction, principals in the project, completed the construction in late 2017, giving way to a leasing effort by BRC.
The complex includes 18 units of about 1,500 square feet each and nine units of 3,000 square feet each, according to a news release. Each unit is completely self-contained with separate utilities, office space and bathrooms.
Ownership is allowing smaller users the opportunity to make short-term deals, with room for expansion, the news release said. Many of the tenants at 100 Ryan are online, internet-related sales companies.
