A neighborhood-style bar and eatery will occupy more than 6,500 square feet at a Woodbridge shopping center, under one of about 20 recent deals brokered by R.J. Brunelli & Co. LLC.
The Old Bridge-based firm announced a flurry of leases for national restaurants, retailers and personal service providers in New Jersey and outside the state. The largest among them is a transaction that has brought Bar Louie, a chain with more 110 locations nationwide, to a 6,554-square-foot end cap space at the Plaza at Woodbridge off Route 1 South.
Danielle Brunelli-Albrecht, principal and president of the brokerage firm, represented the landlord in the deal. The restaurant occupies a former Ruby Tuesday space at the center, which is anchored by Best Buy, Raymour & Flanigan and Toys ‘R’ Us/Babies ‘R’ Us.
R.J. Brunelli also completed five leases in the Garden State and two in Florida on behalf of The Max Challenge, a fast-growing New Jersey-based chain of fitness centers. They include franchise locations ranging from 2,300 square feet to 2,800 square feet at 35 Main St. in Madison, 700 Harmon Plaza in Secaucus, 300 South Lenola Road in Maple Shade, 80-88 Hartford Rd. in Moorestown and 90 Route 9 South in Bayville.
The firm serves as the franchisor’s exclusive national leasing representative. Senior Sales Associate Patti Fiore-AmecAngelo brokered the deals, while also arranging new leases in Boca Raton and Pompano Beach, Florida.
In its role with Verizon TCC, the largest premium reseller of Verizon Wireless products in the U.S, Brunelli also executed renewals for a 3,867-square-foot end-cap unit at Downtown Plaza, located at 325 Jimmie Leeds Road in Galloway, and a kiosk at the Cherry Hill Mall in Cherry Hill. Brunelli CEO and Principal Ron DeLuca brokered the deals.
The firm’s other recent transactions include:
- In Monmouth County, Fiore-AmecAngelo represented both the landlord and tenant in a deal that will bring 7-Eleven to a 3,145-square-foot freestanding building at 671 Broadway in Long Branch. The chain, for which Brunelli serves as the preferred broker in five counties, is expected to open in the fourth quarter of 2018.
- Fiore-AmecAngelo also represented the landlord on a lease that will bring a Montessori preschool to the former 6,500-square-foot Pizza Hut building at 941 Route 35 in Middletown. The school is expected to open in the fourth quarter of 2018.
