A Secaucus warehouse will be the new home of a firm that provides rental furniture and other products to the event industry, as part of its expansion from the West Coast.
Brokerage firm NAI James E. Hanson announced the move Tuesday after representing the firm, Designer 8 Inc., in its move into New Jersey. The 10-year-old, Culver City, California-based company has leased 22,800 square feet at 560 Jefferson Ave. in Secaucus.
NAI Hanson’s Andrew Kirshenbaum was the lead broker and worked with Arthur Hixson and Barry Mayer on the assignment, the Hackensack-based firm said in a news release.
“Designer 8 Inc. was looking for a space to grow its operations on the east coast with accessibility to New York in order to take advantage of the active marketplace and demand for their services,” Kirshenbaum said in a prepared statement. “560 Jefferson Avenue provided a unique solution to their needs in that it met their current space requirements but also provides the opportunity to expand within the same building to accommodate future growth.”
The company provides a wide variety of event rental furniture and custom scenic props to the event world in a number of major markets throughout the country, the news release said. The company has locations in both Northern and Southern California and will use the new location to house high-end and trendsetting furniture and grow its business.
