A logistics firm is leasing nearly 250,000 square feet of industrial space in Edison, under a newly announced transaction by CBRE.
Brokers with the firm represented both the landlord, New York Life Insurance Co., and Romark Logistics in the 249,853-square-foot commitment at 145 Talmadge Road. The tenant, which specializes in e-commerce fulfillment, omnichannel distribution, reverse logistics and other facets of the supply chain, will be expanding its operations at the 656,255-square-foot property.
“When the space became available, it was being offered as a sublease,” said Scott Belfer, a senior vice president with CBRE. “Working closely with ownership and the previous tenant, we were able to structure a long-term solution for all of the parties involved. Romark was able to take advantage of the existing infrastructure that was already in the building and expand its operations near its other warehouse, fulfillment and distribution facilities in the Edison market.”
Belfer represented Romark Logistics. He also represented ownership alongside fellow CBRE brokers Nicholas Nitti and Lou Belfer.
Built in 1972, 145 Talmadge Road is minutes from Interstate 287, the New Jersey Turnpike, the Garden State Parkway and routes 1, 9 and 27 according to a news release. The facility has 28-foot ceiling heights, 27 tailboard doors, one drive-in entrance, 40-foot-by-40-foot column spacing, refrigeration space and solar power for reduced electrical costs.
