A growing restaurant concept has found its first New Jersey location, in Jersey City’s McGinley Square neighborhood, in a deal arranged by Cervelli Real Estate & Property Management.
According to the brokerage team, Guac Time is leasing 2,900 square feet of retail space at 725 Bergen Ave., occupying the entire ground floor of an 18-unit corner apartment building that opened in late 2023. That will provide the New York-based Mexican fusion restaurant with strong visibility and foot traffic, as it looks to tap into what Cervelli described as Jersey City’s explosive building boom.
“When we showed the space, we could tell they were serious about opening new locations,” said Chris Cervelli of Cervelli Real Estate & Property Management. “They brought all the decision makers to the tour so they could decide on the spot if this location was going to be part of their aggressive expansion strategy.”
Cervelli Real Estate handled the lease-up for the apartment building, one of its latest and highest-profile assignments for local landlords and tenants in the evolving McGinley Square are.
