Colliers International has tapped a veteran broker and manager as the new leader of its New Jersey offices.
The real estate services firm announced Monday that it has hired Dennis Waggner as an executive managing director and its market leader in New Jersey. He comes to Colliers with more than 35 years in the industry, most of which were spent with Cushman & Wakefield before two years with Avison Young.
He will be based in Colliers’ Woodbridge office and oversee a footprint that also includes the firm’s teams in Parsippany and Princeton.
“I’m thrilled Dennis will be heading up our New Jersey operations and I look forward to working closely with him as we continue to strengthen our presence as a leader in the entire Tri-State region,” said David Amsterdam, Colliers’ president for investments, leasing and eastern region. “With Dennis, we are getting a seasoned real estate executive with decades of experience in managing brokerage firms, specifically within the New Jersey market.
“Having known Dennis for many years, we are confident he’s the right person to take the lead in New Jersey.”
Waggner spent 35 years at C&W, where he rose from an account representative to senior managing director of operations for the tristate region’s 14 offices, according to a news release. He held that position for 12 years, while also taking on the expanded responsibilities for the entire New England region.
Most recently, Waggner performed a similar role as senior director of operations for the New York tristate region for Avison Young.
Waggner succeeds David Simon as Colliers’ New Jersey market leader.
