With one of the largest real estate practices in the state, our team includes attorneys with exceptional experience in all of the related disciplines that come into play in complex real estate projects. In one recent example, we represented a developer/manager in connection with the $400+ million purchase and $230+ million financing of a two-tower apartment building in Jersey City. The transaction involved the analysis and resolution of novel title issues, including tidelands claims, the merger of a ground lease into fee ownership and the formation of a tenancy in common to acquire the property. The transaction also included a pledge of interests in the borrower entity and termination of a PILOT agreement.
