Connell Foley’s Real Estate and Land Use Group is known for providing innovative and effective solutions for developers and owners of all sizes, and in projects involving unique and challenging issues. With one of the largest real estate practices in the state, our team includes attorneys with exceptional experience in all of the related disciplines that come into play in complex real estate projects. In one recent example, we represented a developer/manager in connection with the $400+ million purchase and $230+ million financing of a two-tower apartment building in Jersey City. The transaction involved the analysis and resolution of novel title issues, including tidelands claims, the merger of a ground lease into fee ownership and the formation of a tenancy in common to acquire the property. The transaction also included a pledge of interests in the borrower entity and termination of a PILOT agreement. Our combination of insight, skills and experience ensure we can provide clients with creative and effective solutions to the most complex and exciting real estate projects.
