Dermody Properties has named a new senior vice president for development in its east region office, the industrial real estate builder and investment firm announced Monday.

In his role with the Morristown-based team, David Jennings will be responsible for providing due diligence, design, entitlement, budget and construction oversight for new developments, acquisitions and build-to-suit projects, according to a news release. He will focus on projects within the east region, with an emphasis on New Jersey and Pennsylvania.
“I look forward to joining the Dermody Properties team,” Jennings said. “Dermody Properties is a company I have long admired for its level-setting customer service and premier developments. I look forward to continuing to grow our investment in the region.”
Prior to joining Reno, Nevada-based Dermody Properties, Jennings was a senior vice president for construction in Duke Realty Corp.’s Northeast region, the news release said. There, he was responsible for all construction activity in Pennsylvania and New Jersey, including oversight of preconstruction, project managers, superintendents and field engineers, ensuring all projects were completed safely, on schedule and within budget.
Jennings holds a bachelor’s in construction engineering and management from Purdue University. He is also accredited in the U.S. Building Council’s Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design program and is a licensed professional engineer.
“David brings extensive development experience to this role,” said Robert Borny, Dermody’s east region partner. “He will be a valuable addition to our team as we continue to find new investment opportunities in our region.”
