Construction is underway for a new 100,250-square-foot industrial building in Edison, the latest piece of a 14-acre complex being developed by Wick Cos. LLC.
The company said this week that it was on track to deliver the building at 70 Carter Drive by the early fourth quarter of this year. Crews have completed foundations and footings and are now raising the 12-inch-thick, precast walls at the site.
Wick Cos. is also marketing the building to prospective tenants. The project is the second in a three-building complex off Talmadge Road, which provides quick access to Interstate 287 and routes 27 and 1, known as Edison Commerce Center,
The developer has started site work for the 62,250-square-foot third phase, which it also expects to complete by the fourth quarter, according to a news release. North American Logistics Group LLC took occupancy of the 80,250-square-foot first building, 74 Carter Drive, in October 2017.
Robert G. Paulus, president of Wick Cos., said the new buildings will feature 32-foot clear ceiling heights, LED lights, six-inch reinforced concrete laser-leveled floors and other modern features. The 100,250-square-foot building will have 22 loading docks, while the 62,250-square-foot building will have 15 docks equipped.
