A veteran developer and his Montville-based firm have launched a new affiliate that will provide third-party construction services to fellow commercial and multifamily builders.
Diversified Properties LLC, led by Nicholas Minoia, announced the formation of Morris Construction Management LLC to serve developers in the New York and New Jersey metro area. Minoia has launched the new entity in partnership with Anthony Ciallella, a longtime building and construction management professional.
The co-principals bring 75 years of combined general contracting and construction management experience in the multifamily, self-storage, office and retail markets throughout New Jersey, New York, Connecticut and Pennsylvania.
“We know that many real estate investors and developers have the funding and the vision but may lack the necessary construction-related expertise to bring their projects to market in a cost-effective, timely manner,” said Minoia, the managing partner of Diversified Properties. “Morris Construction Management will fill that gap with a range of construction services that free up our clients to focus on financing, marketing and tenanting their properties.”
Morris Construction Management will offer general contracting, construction management, owner’s representative and value engineering services for developers of master-planned and multifamily communities, mixed-use developments, redeveloped and repurposed properties, according to a news release. The firm will be located within Diversified Properties’ corporate headquarters at 350 Main Road in Montville.
With strategic partners, Minoia’s real estate development experience spans acquisition, planning, design and construction of more than 10,000 residential units, also along with leasing, construction, construction management, finance and property management, the news release said. In addition to Diversified Properties, he is the founder and principal of DP Property Management LLC, which provides leasing and property management services.
Ciallella has worked in building, construction management and development and was most recently the director of purchasing and construction for an affiliated development firm in which Minoia is a managing partner. He has worked for some of New Jersey’s major general contractors, builders and real estate developers, developing preliminary project budgets, trade bids and buyouts, negotiating and awarding contracts to the trades and project scheduling and
