A joint venture is planning a spring groundbreaking for a project that will bring 43 new apartments to the small town of Guttenberg in Hudson County.
The development group, listed as Madison Polk LLC, said the 70th Street property will consist of four residential floors atop of two levels of parking, plus a rooftop terrace with New York City views. It’s now looking ahead to the start of construction after it recently purchased the rights to the project, between Madison and Polk streets, in a deal brokered by Signature Capital Associates.
“Our group is very excited for this this project,” a representative for the developer said in a news release. “Guttenberg is a great place to call home and with proximity to public transit and New York City, it is an ideal location for someone looking to live in Hudson County.”
Madison Polk LLC has retained Virgona & Virgona Architects in Edgewater to spearhead the design, which calls for a collection of upscale one-bedroom units. DHNS Engineering and Grant Engineering Consultants will also be part of the group’s design team for structural and MEP components, while RVN Enterprises LLC will act as the group’s construction manager and oversee the build.
The apartments are projected to hit the market in summer 2024.
