Dollar Tree has signed four new leases in northern and central New Jersey, including two at spaces that had been home to a now-shuttered home furnishings chain.
According to R.J. Brunelli & Co., which serves as Dollar Tree’s leasing representative in the state, the new locations will include a 9,200-square-foot freestanding building at Riverdale Crossing on Route 23 in Riverdale. The store is projected to debut in the second quarter of 2021 in the former Pier 1 Imports space at the 260,000-square-foot, Walmart-anchored center.
In Manasquan, Dollar Tree inked a 9,460-square-foot lease at The Orchards at Wall at 2410 Route 35. The store is slated to open in the second quarter, also at a former Pier 1 space, joining a Fred Astaire dance studio and Via Veneto Ristorante.
R.J. Brunelli President and Principal Danielle Brunelli and Senior Sales Associate Pete Nicholson represented the chain in the transactions, according to a news release. Ryan Starkman of Pierson Commercial represented ownership in the Riverdale lease.
R.J. Brunelli also completed two new leases for Dollar Tree’s sister chain, Family Dollar, including a 10,382-square-foot deal at 490 Chamberlain Ave. in Paterson. The store is slated to open in the third quarter in a former Rite Aid space, joining tenants such as Valley National Bank, Dunkin’ and a soon-to-open DaVita dialysis center.
In West Orange, Family Dollar signed a 9,700-square-foot commitment at 217 Main St., according to the Old Bridge-based brokerage team. The chain will join CVS in the 24,200-square-foot property when it opens in the fall.
